Through a partnership with Sabino Equestrian Center, Fenster is able to offer students an equestrian program that includes earning a sportsman letter through the United States Equestrian Federation and the American Saddlebred Horse Association. All Fenster’s students may participate at an additional fee in riding and driving lessons. They may board their horses at this full care facility that offers not only lessons but training.
On a monthly basis the students are offered the opportunity to participate in an
equestrian experience. This may include information about how horses are shoed, veterinarian issues, stable management or general care of the horses at Sabino Equestrian Center. Sabino has been honored to participate in studies involving the advanced treatment of some horse ailments.
Although Sabino Equestrian Center specializes in American Saddlebred Show horses, Morgan horses, and Hackney ponies, all breeds are welcome. Experience in Saddleseat, Western, and Driving are offered for all riders. There are lessons for the beginner to the World Champion rider. The horses have so much to offer for all levels of the equestrian experience.
Lessons include basic horsemanship, grooming, driving in a cart, and riding school horses. Fenster makes every effort to group students according to their ability level and, like any sport, dedication and consistency is very important to develop strong skills.
The truly dedicated equestrian may join the Sabino Equestrian Youth program, sponsored by the American
Saddlebred Horse Association. Through this program students learn the importance of giving back to the community and supporting equestrian programs throughout the United States. Riding attire includes helmets, boots and jodhpurs/long pants .
