Technology is used throughout the campus. Classrooms are equipped with desk top computers and have computer projectors for power point and teacher-
student presentations. Wireless Internet is available to students to do research and homework after school and on the weekends. Internet access is filtered by time periods and days of the week, preventing students from social networking, i.e. Facebook, during school and study hours. Students will be allowed specific times for social networking and email access. Internet access will be blocked completely at 11:00 pm during the week. In addition, this year a new touch screen (electronic white board) is being installed in the life sciences classroom to facilitate the learning environment.
- the Library has computers that students utilize for research, completion of assignments, and appropriate social networking.
- the math lab has computers and is designed to support student research, writing and math assignments.
- the ESL (English as a Second Language) classroom has computers to aid students in preparation for the TOEFL, SAT, and ACT. Students have access to practice tests and appropriate computer generated assignments.
- the College Counselor has additional computers for students use in researching different college and university requirements, completing college applications and registering for the SAT and ACT assessments.
Math classes require all students to have a graphing calculator, TI-84 Plus. Students are instructed on the use of the calculator and how it can be used as a learning tool for both their math class and in preparing for both the SAT and ACT.
